A Gift for Ampato

An "average" read for those with some knowledge of Incan civilization.

In, 1995, a 500-year-old mummy of an Inca girl was discovered on a Peruvian mountaintop. Anthropologists believe she may have been sacrificed to the Andean gods. A Gift for Ampato is the fictional story of the days leading up to her death.

According to Incan culture, during times of great stress, such as crop failures, young women were chosen to become human sacrifices atop Mt. Ampato. It was considered a great honor to be selected. This brief but emotional story is about Timta, a girl chosen to leave her family and become one of those servants of the gods. Follow her as she learns what her fate is to be and rebels against her culture.
